Ms. Janice is an exceptional medical assistant instructor who truly cares about her students success. She explains material clearly, takes the time to make sure everyone understands, and is always willing to help when someone needs extra support. Her real-world experience makes the lessons practical and easy to connect to clinical settings. Ms. Janice creates a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing at their own pace. She pushes us to do our best while still being patient and understanding. I’m grateful to have had her as an instructor, and I feel confident and prepared for the medical field because of her guidance. Read less

I am a current student at Atlanta Medical School, and my overall experience has been very positive. The instructors—Ms. Tesha, Ms. Janice, and Ms. Martine—are extremely supportive. They not only answer questions about lectures and labs but also share real-world experiences that help us understand why certain skills are so important. One challenge I’ve noticed is with the counselors. There has been a lot of turnover this semester, and they haven’t always been as helpful as needed. Many students, myself included, often turned to instructors for guidance instead. Finding an externship was also a bit difficult. While counselors provided some contacts, students were still responsible for making a lot of calls and doing their own outreach. Thankfully, the instructors were always willing to step in and share their knowledge of different externship opportunities, which was very helpful. Overall, the program is definitely worth the time and tuition. You gain a lot of knowledge, hands-on practice, and valuable connections as you progress. I would recommend this school to others! Frequently Asked Questions

We don't accept financial aid, but we have some pretty great reasons why! The founder of our school, Dr. Ince, decided that he wanted to create an amazing opportunity for those who desire to enter the field. He believed that students not only deserve a great education, but also an affordable and convenient option. Rather than opting to make our school more expensive in order to allow for financial assistance, Dr. Ince chose to implement affordable tuition prices; providing our students with the opportunity to graduate with little to no student loan debt. If none of our payment plan options work for you, please give us a call. We are more than happy to customize a plan!

Yes, you can pay by check. Checks must be sent two weeks before your start date, and you must call our admissions team to provide a tracking number. They should be addressed to Zollege Management Inc., 715 Discovery Blvd. Suite 412, Cedar Park, TX, 78613.

The time it takes to become a Medical Assistant varies between schools and certification programs. Our curriculum is 18-weeks long and fully prepares students to start working as a medical assistant.

The Atlanta Medical Assistant School is a 'hands-on learning program.' We take a different approach from traditional education. Our classes take place in a medical office rather than a classroom. There is a hands-on component to every part of our course. Our classes begin with a lecture/class discussion, but the majority of the class time is spent in labs learning the essential techniques of Medical Assisting. When our students graduate and begin their career, they are at home in a medical office.

As a newly hired Medical Assistant, your employer will have an expectation that you will know the basic skills of Medical Assisting. It's those fundamental skills that we focus on teaching our students. Our custom designed curriculum sets students up for success in knowing exactly what doctors will expect them to know.

When you graduate from any medical assisting school you receive a certificate of completion. Many students ask if they can expect to make a higher starting salary if they attend a longer program. The starting salary for a Medical Assistant does not have anything to do with how long you spent in school or how much you paid for your schooling.

Medical Assistants perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to assisting the doctor, carrying out clinical tasks, and completing administrative work.
Medical assistants may perform many different clinical duties including taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, etc. Administrative tasks are as equally important in the medical assisting field and medical assistants are also in charge of scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, working with insurance files, and billing.
Assistants are responsible for making patients feel at ease while also preparing them for treatment. During medical visits, assistants often work alongside the doctor.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 29 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. For more information, please visit Bureau of Labor Statistics website..

The median annual wage for medical assistants was $42,000 in May 2023. For more information, please visit Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

Benefits vary by practice and should be discussed with the hiring practice.
