I am a current student at Atlanta Medical School, and my overall experience has been very positive. The instructors—Ms. Tesha, Ms. Janice, and Ms. Martine—are extremely supportive. They not only answer questions about lectures and labs but also share real-world experiences that help us understand why certain skills are so important.
One challenge I’ve noticed is with the counselors. There has been a lot of turnover this semester, and they haven’t always been as helpful as needed. Many students, myself included, often turned to instructors for guidance instead.
Finding an externship was also a bit difficult. While counselors provided some contacts, students were still responsible for making a lot of calls and doing their own outreach. Thankfully, the instructors were always willing to step in and share their knowledge of different externship opportunities, which was very helpful.
Overall, the program is definitely worth the time and tuition. You gain a lot of knowledge, hands-on practice, and valuable connections as you progress. I would recommend this school to others!
